Marie is a freshman at the University of Michigan and is taking organic chemistry to fulfill her dreams of becoming a doctor. Little did she know that when she signed up for this class at orientation, exactly how challenging this course is. Having to go to 8 o'clock lectures are bad enough, but having a 3 hour lab on Fridays! Her precious Fridays! Today is one of those horrible Fridays where she is stuck in a lab that she has no clue what is going on, is forced to starve until a hurried dinner at 5, and is even made worse by Dr. Nolfe coming in to observe how her students are doing. As Marie nervously puts in the right amount of solute into the solvent, she gets a result that is totally unexpected. She wonders if she should panic or just play it cool. She decides on the latter, and calmly tosses the bad results.
